Baking fabulous bread is what we do at Geary’s, and Jason Geary is our baker at the helm. As the fourth generation of Geary in the business, bread is in his DNA. He does everything from baking bread from recipes from his great great grandfather, to coming up with new ones that excite and delight in equal measure.
I’m Jason Geary and baking is in my DNA. As a fourth generation baker, I grew up on my grandfather’s baking recipes, lovingly hand crafted and refined down the years. When it came to joining the family business, there was only one job I wanted – a baker!
From honing and continuing the master craftsmanship of my grandfather, to coming up with new recipes to reflect the modernity and innovation that’s the hallmark of our bakery – I love my job and I love what we do.
I can’t wait to see where we go next!
Over 44 years baking bread, and still loving it!
It all started back in 1975 with 3 year Craft Bakery City & Guilds apprenticeship. After 14 years at Whitworth, 7 years at Maid Marion Bakery, and 4 years running my own bakery, Charles Geary persuaded me to join Gearys.
19 years later with 10x the turnover, a new bakery in Glenfield and 2 at Barrow, what we have achieved is amazing.
I can't wait for the exciting times ahead.
